I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our [Valentine's Special] meal on Friday evening. The food was really lovely, and we appreciated how it was all clearly labeled so that we could just open a bottle of wine and relax while it cooked. The way the table was laid out was a very lovely finishing touch too. Please pass on our appreciation to the caterers. I just wanted to say thank you for a lovely stay in the Wye apartment back on 21st May. We stayed for my hen weekend and the accommodation was superb, everyone loved it and it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting for a murder mystery dinner party (complete with ghostly monk). I stayed here with my wife, two daughters and our friends and their two daughters – it could not have been more perfect. The apartment suited our needs perfectly and there were plenty of walks for our dogs. The Inn on the Wye was welcoming and cosy and I honestly can’t remember enjoying a New Year more. We arrived on the 27th December…one of the coldest days of the year but as soon as we got the woodburner going the whole place got nice and warm and cosy. We were fortunate to be in the area when the Wye froze over and seeing the blocks of ice moving down the river a few days later was a great sight. The apartment was great with plenty of room, all the equipment you would want. The weather was glorious and the building truly stunning. We stayed in the large Wye apartment which was just perfect for our big group. The ceilings are high and the rooms light and spacious and the massive long dining table was fantastic for our nightly dinners. The outside area on offer was great in the sun and we were really lucky with the weather! With so much to do in the Forest activity wise this really is the perfect base to stay with friends or family. We had a romantic stay at Flanesford Priory last week and found it utterly delightful. [...] It is within a very short walk to two pubs, one with a lovely outside terrace overlooking the river. Perfect for pre dinner drinks and soothing ourselves after a hard day canoeing up the Wye! [...] All in all a wonderful stay and I can highly recommend it for a romantic and peaceful break.
