We understand that corporate entertainment should be really fun and well organised with great food and exciting activities.
Listed below you will find an overview of some of the activities available within just a short distance of Flanesford Priory.
Gorge Walking in Herefordshire
Gorge walking is the ultimate in outdoor thrills, your team will be scrambling up rivers, climbing waterfalls and abseiling into lichen covered chasms. Gorge walking is a great team bonding/building exercise for your staff. It is a huge confidence builder and is a great tool for examining communication and leadership. Herefordshire and Monmouthshire both have beautiful gorges that you can enjoy just a short drive from your accommodation.
Raft Building in the Forest of Dean
If you want a fun team building activity while staying in our luxury group accommodation then why not try Raft Building in the Forest of Dean? All the activity takes place in a beautiful lakeside location. It is a great exercise for exploring communication and leadership as your team design, build and then paddle their own raft around the lake without it falling apart.
Survival Training in the Forest of Dean
Finally for something different you could take your corporate team survival training. Learn how to light fires with sticks, cook wild food and build shelters, its very popular with all departments and everyone has a skill that can be useful. We can also run our survival training day as a competition if you would prefer to see how your team copes with pressure while out of their comfort zone.
For detailed information about the activities and to book a session, visit Life Changing Activities website or contact Michael Downey from Life Changing Activities on 01989 566672.
Canoeing on the River Wye
Canoeing is a wonderful team activity for exploring interpersonal relationships. You will be travelling in pairs down the River Wye, paddling canadian canoes. While learning to control the canoes your team will be able to see kingfishers, peregrine falcons, and cormorants as well as some of the most beautiful countryside in Britain. Your team can also stop off at a pub for lunch and have games of water polo on the way down.
Climbing and Abseiling at Symonds Yat
If you have a fairly active group with a sense of adventure then climbing and abseiling at Symonds Yat is a great corporate training experience. There is no better exercise for exploring risk (perceived v actual) and trust. When you are dangling over a cliff with your colleagues holding the rope, trust and empathy can really be explored in earnest.
Team Challenge at Flanesford Priory
If your Company wants to tie in an outdoor activity during management training at our accommodation why not go for our Team Challenge, it combines team dynamics, leadership and problem solving in one fun package and everybody can join in. The basic idea is that your group is split into teams with each team having its own guide/scorekeeper. The teams then compete against each other and against the clock. There are a huge range of games, puzzles and challenges to choose from. Some challenges will be mental, some physical, some creative and others will just drive you crazy.
